Mike – Founder, Co-Owner and Mechanic
Mike started Kelsall Cycles in 2020, and deals with front of house, cafe, as well as being an experienced mechanic.
Mike’s background is in customer service, and as a person who loves being outdoors, Mike’s hobbies include trail running, bike packing and riding in social groups.
Favourite Bike – Thorn, or his custom painted Moda Finale
Zed - Co-Owner and Mechanic
Zed joined the team late 2022 and brings a wealth of knowledge from his engineering background.
It has to be said that he is someone who loves going downhill a lot more than going up them in the first place. Zed not only enjoys bikes, he loves to ride horses as well. So whether he is on Bianchi XR1, or in a pair of jodhpurs on horse back, you will always see Zed with a smile on his face.
Favourite Bike – Bianchi XR5
Nathan - Barista
Young Nathan has recently finished his A- Levels at John Deanes, and provides for all your coffee and cake needs over the weekend.
He loves Mountain Biking, but is not as keen on having to wash customer bikes at the shop (or his own for that matter!)
Favourite Bike – Hope HB130
Mariusz - Head Mechanic
With a taste in clothes almost as quirky as his taste in bikes, Mariusz has been with Kelsall Cycles since 2021. His knowledge of the workings of the bicycle, and the trends in the bike world are second to none, and Mariusz is happy to advise on upgrades that will benefit any rider.
Mariusz loves all types of retro bikes, and still believes that disc brakes will never catch on. He enjoys building bikes up from old parts, and often takes part in cyclocross races on machines that others would be scared to ride.
Favourite Bike – The ones he’s got!!
Stuart - Volunteer Mechanic
Stuart is an ex airline pilot, with an eye for attention to detail. He loves to learn about all aspects of bike mechanics, through reading, watching tutorials, or listening to others. Stuart is a serious cyclist, and does not believe that any ride under 100km is worth doing.
Favourite Bike - Anything fast
Mark - Volunteer Mechanic
Mark has more clubs than Rory McIlroy, and firmly believes that carbon is the only material that bikes should be made of. A “hobby racer” (i.e. finishes towards the back), Mark likes to run as well as ride, taking on challenges such as Duathlons, and currently preparing for his first marathon.
Favourite Bike - Ridley Noah (2012 model, obviously carbon)
